Segments

Segments: A Journal of Constructed Languages is a quarterly journal published by a small team of dedicated conlangers. Our goal is to provide a showcasing space for conlangers to present aspects of their work, while also serving as a valuable resource for community members who want to get inspiration for their projects.

Issue #06
Writing Systems

August 2022.

Writing systems and orthographies are topics that come up quite frequently in conlang communities, and a lot of conlangers have questions about how to go about designing a script and then digitizing it. These articles are a great how-to for developing naturalistic scripts and for making them into functional fonts.
